I have finally finished writing the prehistoric fiction, Land of the Watchers, after working on it since 2012.
I plan to write a nonfiction book to accompany it and publish it, one chapter at a time, here biweekly. My 14 years of research have led me to a visualization that is different from the mainstream view. So my nonfiction will shed light on how I arrived at the picture I have. Readers can also follow me on my journey of discovery and see how I developed the characters and their names. Since Land of the Watchers is set 5,000 years ago, and the pre-Indo-European culture is so foreign to ours, I had to glean what I could from mythology, science and the echoes of the land to reach my conclusions. I welcome feedback on my interpretation.
I wanted to start writing this companion book, but there are loose ends I need to clear up from the previous book, Shannon Oaks Residents Memories. I’m having trouble getting a “vendor number” to put the book on shelves in Chapters in Fredericton and Indigo in Victoria. I have contacted IngramSpark Support and have now received an answer. Apparently, the book is owned by KDP. I need to get a new ISBN number. I am working on that and will post an update as that progresses. I only mention these details, boring and frustrating as they are, so that you can see the obstacles that arise while writing and promoting a book.
Iryna to the rescue!
Okay – NEXT WEEK, on Sunday, August 9, First Chapter of the companion book. And every odd Sunday after that.
